Monty began his film work in documentaries in the NBC Newsfilm Editing Department in 1969. He worked as an assistant editor on “First Tuesday”, Reuven Frank’s premogenitur to “60 Minutes”. He worked for five years making films for state government and Public Television in North Carolina and South Carolina.
